Many people often ask themselves, "Are massage table sheets different than bed sheets?" While it may seem as though any sheets will do, there are distinct differences that set massage table sheets apart from bed sheets. Each set of sheets is uniquely fitted to adhere to the size of the product they are sold for. Given a standard massage table is a different size and shape than a bed, the sheets will be different sizes as well.

Massage table sheets are typically sold in sets of three. The set consists of a head cover, a flat sheet, and a fitted sheet. The fitted sheet is designed to perfectly adhere to the length and width of a standard massage table, eliminating slack or ruffles in the sheets. By attempting to use a bed sheet instead, it will be much looser and will create creases or lumps in the fabric. Obviously, a lumpy massage table will result in the discomfort of clients.

Additionally, the set will include a custom head cover, which is integral to the set. The removable head cover guarantees an additional level of sanitation for clients, as it can be easily removed and washed between clients. The last part of the sheet set will be a large flat sheet, similar to a standard bed sheet. The size of the flat sheet is often similar to that of a regular bed sheet and could easily be interchangeable.

However, for aesthetic purposes, it is best to purchase a complete set of massage table sheets rather than having a mismatched set. By interchanging bed sheets with your massage table sheets, you risk creating inconsistencies between the color and texture of the sheets, which will come across as unprofessional and sloppy to your clientele. Given massage table sheets are often sold as complete sets, for the sake of your professionalism and clientele basis, you are better off purchasing the set rather than mismatching individual sheets.
