For homes to stay neat, keeping everything in order can be a hassle. Thankfully, life can become much more manageable by simply keeping everything clean and organized. Among other things, it is important to keep towels folded correctly to prevent bathrooms from looking cluttered. A few days ago we explained how to fold towels into fun animals, but what about folding towels the traditional way? Below are three tips to answer the question that every homeowner is asking, "How do I perfectly fold towels?"

1. Start by Laying the Towel Flat

The first step is to lay the towel out flat so that it is easy to work with. It is recommended to have a designated place in the home designed for folding towels. This might be either a bathroom or the laundry room where there is enough room to work. If there are a lot of towels that are going to need to be folded, it is probably a good idea put them all inside a basket to make this work easier.

2. Fold It in Half

After laying the towel flat, the next step is to fold the towel in half. This is where many homeowners go wrong, which unfortunately leads to wrinkled towels that look terrible. The secret is to make sure that the corners line up on both sides. By lining the top and bottom portions of the towel up, the final result will look great. It is also important to make sure that there are no wrinkles on the towel after it is been folded. It is recommended to check under the towel to make sure that there are no irregularities that could lead to a poorly folded towel.

3. Fold It Again

Once the towel has been folded in half, the next step is to do it again. This time, fold the towel going the opposite direction from the previous fold. On a standard size towel, this is all that is necessary to fold the towel correctly. However, it is important to make sure that all of the corners are still lining up. If one side is not lined up properly, it might be a good idea to simply start over. Since each towel only takes a few seconds to complete, homeowners should not be afraid to try again.

After finishing, homeowners should make sure that their towels are stacked up neatly. This will prevent the need to hide towels in the closet because they are unsightly. By following the above steps, towels can be easily folded in a way that makes the whole house look great.
